“Pioneer” here refers to postcard images taken earlier than 1919. More or less. Fort Lauderdale was an agricultural town in its early days, and many of these cards reflect that. Late in 1919, the Broward Hotel opened, and the community slowly began to evolve into the town known today. These early cards are shown across three postings: Pioneer Postcards 1, predominantly lithographs, Pioneer Postcards 2, mostly color lithographs, and Pioneer Postcards 3, largely Real Photo Postcards (RPPCs). But exceptions abound! Enjoy, and drop me a comment if you care.
